I am attending the conference. Where should I drop my poster off? Please drop it off at the registration table at the conference located on the third floor of the InterContinental Hotel Cleveland.

How will the posters be hung? Either with clips or Velcro, which we will supply. The clips pin into the cloth-panel boards and are small spring-loaded plastic clamping type clips.

What dimensions should I use for the poster? Each panel measures 38 inches wide x 7 feet tall. Ideally your success story will fit in an area 32 inches wide by 50 inches tall. Photographs, charts, images and text are welcome and encouraged.

Is there an opportunity to "present" on my poster? During the first 45 minutes of the National Innovation Reception on the evening of Oct 15 a representative for each poster has an opportunity to stand by their poster to answer questions and provide more information. Participation in the reception is not mandatory. The posters will be on display the duration of the conference. There is not session time dedicated to poster presentations.

Is the poster session replacing SSTI’s Excellence in TBED Awards? No, the awards program has been a huge success. The 2008 Award winners will be recognized during the Conference. The Poster Session is a completely separate opportunity to showcase the success of individual projects supported or assisted by SSTI members. More information on the Awards is available at http://www.ssti.org/Awards/overview.htm.

Does my organization have to be an SSTI member to participate in the Poster Session? Yes, the Poster Session opportunity is only open to SSTI members. Participation in the session is just one of the many benefits for SSTI members. Membership information can be found at http://www.ssti.org/benefits.htm.

How do I know if my organization is an SSTI member? A list of current SSTI members is available at http://www.ssti.org/members.htm.

What if I am funded by one of SSTI’s members – does that count? No, the organization who is submitting the poster must be an SSTI member.

When and where is SSTI’s annual conference this year? SSTI’s 12 th annual conference will be held on Oct 14-16, 2008 at the beautiful Intercontinental Hotel Cleveland at the Cleveland Clinic. More information about the conference is available at http://www.ssticonference.org/.

Does someone from my organization have to attend the conference to submit a poster? Attendance is not mandatory to participate in the poster session. For inclusion in the session, posters may be mailed to SSTI at 5015 Pine Creek Drive, Westerville OH 43081 on or before October 1.

What is the cost to display poster? Displaying a poster is free thanks to the support from our generous sponsors. Members are responsible for any poster production and shipping costs.

My organization has lots of success stories. Can we display more than one poster? Not at this time. Each poster must highlight the impact of a single success story. Depending on response, additional poster space may be made available for a fee.

What material should I use to make the poster? Anything goes. As long as it is lightweight and fits within the panel measurements of 38 inches wide x 7 feet tall. Ideally your success story will fit in an area 32 inches wide by 50 inches tall. SSTI does not have a preferred printer. You may use large photocopy paper, a printed poster, lightweight foam board, laminated artwork, etc....

Why should I submit? We want to hear your story. With each poster, you help to strengthen the TBED community by providing needed information, expanding your own network of professional contacts, and receiving national exposure and recognition at SSTI's 12th Annual conference. Information provided in the posters may also be used later as content for the SSTI Weekly Digest, national speaking engagements and written reports. By doing a poster, you place your organization in the spotlight of the TBED community and join other SSTI members in building an arsenal of anecdotes backed by hard facts to serve as arguments and evidence for expanding or sustaining funding.

I still have questions. Who should I contact at SSTI? Please contact Noelle Sheets, SSTI Director of Membership Services at sheets@ssti.org or 914.901.1690.
