TBED’s Hall of Success a First for SSTI’s Annual Conference
Each SSTI Member Organization Encouraged to Strut its Stuff during Poster Session – for Free!

SSTI will be holding its first poster session dedicated entirely to celebrating why states, regions, universities and related organizations engage in technology-based economic development (TBED). Our goal is to have the best achievements in the field on display as posters at SSTI’s annual conference, Oct 15-16, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Cleveland.

It’s time your peers – and those new to TBED or making funding decisions about your programs – see the difference organizations like yours are making all across the country. So, at no charge to you, we will provide each member organization with one poster panel space to showcase the economic and social impact resulting from a single program, policy, project, investment or client.

Think of it: the power and usefulness of TBED’s First Hall of Success.

• If every member of SSTI provides a story highlighting one of its greatest achievements or impactd, there would be nearly 200 best practices in a single location for you to pore over and glean ideas for improving, expanding or refining your efforts.
• You’ll be able to discuss the details of those achievements with the members present at the conference – a living encyclopedia of TBED accomplishments.
• You’ll leave the conference armed with an arsenal of anecdotes – anecdotes backed by hard facts – to serve as arguments and evidence for expanding or sustaining funding by your stakeholders.

Each poster will profile a real success story providing hard evidence of how TBED investments are sustaining the nation’s position as a global leader for innovation and competitiveness – one local or regional project at a time. Instead of a marketing exercise to promote your organization or a specific program, the purpose of the poster session is to focus on the economic and social impacts of a single program, policy, project, investment or client – impacts that are a direct result of the assistance provided by SSTI member organizations.

The posters will be on display throughout the conference, providing ample time to peruse each one in detail.
